Media Statement on GBV on Healthcare Workers & all women
Mediwell in association with the healthcare fraternity, is appalled by the recent abduction and rape of two nurses in Limpopo. We believe no one should fear for their safety while serving their community. We call on the government, community leaders, and healthcare institutions to prioritize the safety of healthcare workers especially 24hour operations & strengthen laws & change tactics to address GBV.
We stand in solidarity with the two nurses and their families, and urge the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice swiftly. Our commitment to addressing GBV through new innovative tactics is unwavering.
