Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Play Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate should be registered with the HPCSA. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about supporting children’s emotional and psychological well-being through therapeutic play.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic play-based interventions for children.
- Assess and support children dealing with emotional, behavioural, or developmental challenges.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to HPCSA ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to Mediwell’s commitment to offering inclusive, high-quality healthcare.
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in Play Therapy or related field.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
